춘희는 문화 속 도상에서 자연스럽게 기본 값으로 인식되는 남성의 모습을 여성으로 치환하는 작업을 합니다. 탱화의 형식으로 그린 토속신 마고할미와 극락의 여성들, 다양한 인종과 체형의 여성들로 채워진 일본 소년 만화 스타일의 애니메이션, 여성 12지신과 타로 카드의 도상 등 그의 작업은 남성 중심적 이미지를 전복하는 새로운 스펙트럼을 제공합니다.

Chunhee’s artwork challenges the cultural norm of using male figures as the standard in iconography
by replacing them with female figures. Whether it is the Korean goddess Mago and women in Paradise
painted in the form of Buddhist taenghwa, Japanese Shonen-style animation featuring women of
different races and body types, or the iconography of the twelve female zodiac animal guardians and
women-centered tarot cards, her work offers a fresh perspective on subverting androcentric imagery.
